Chomp โ Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 10, 2026 ยท Berserkr LLC
Chomp is a multiplayer maze-chase game published by Berserkr LLC
("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Chomp apps and the
Chomp game service collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Device identifier. On first launch the app generates a
random identifier (a UUID) stored on your device. It identifies your player
to the game service for matchmaking, gameplay, and scores. It is not tied to
your name, email, or advertising identifiers.
- Display name. The name you choose to show to other
players. It is visible to opponents, in waiting rooms, and on scoreboards.
- Gameplay data. Match results, scores, and high scores
associated with your device identifier and display name.
- Push notification token. If notifications are enabled,
a Firebase Cloud Messaging token so the service can notify you about match
events (for example, an opponent becoming ready).
- Optional account and friends data. If you sign in
(Google or anonymous sign-in via Firebase Authentication), we store your
account identifier, display name, friend code, friend relationships and
requests, and an online/in-game presence status visible to your friends.
If you use friend discovery, contact information is hashed on your device
before being sent for matching; we do not receive your raw contacts.
- Usage and diagnostics. The Android app uses Google
Analytics for Firebase, which collects app-usage events and device
information to help us understand and improve the game. Our servers keep
transient technical logs (such as IP addresses and connection events) for
operation, debugging, and abuse prevention.
How we use information
- To operate the game: matchmaking, real-time play, scores and
leaderboards, and (if you opt in) friends and invitations.
- To send match-related push notifications you have enabled.
- To maintain, debug, and secure the service.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party
advertising.
Sharing
- Other players can see your display name, presence (if
you use friends), and match scores.
- Service providers. We use Google Firebase
(Authentication, Cloud Messaging, and Analytics) to provide sign-in, push
notifications, and usage analytics. Google processes this data on our
behalf under its own terms: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
- We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention and deletion
Gameplay and account data are kept while your player identity remains
active. Server technical logs are short-lived. You can request deletion of
the data associated with your device identifier or account by contacting us
at the address below; uninstalling the app removes the on-device identifier,
which unlinks the device from any stored data.
Children
Chomp is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child
has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Traffic between the apps and the service uses encrypted connections
(TLS). Game session traffic is authenticated per match.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
