A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the shooting death of a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) worker on Monday. Kevin Barlow, 30, was shot and killed outside a rail maintenance facility on 98th Street in the South Side.
According to authorities, police are reviewing surveillance video from the area and are seeking tips from the public. The Cook County Crime Stoppers tip line is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest.
Barlow, who lived next door to his father, was remembered by friends and family as a kind and devoted person who always put others first. He was a proud CTA employee and a member of the Prince Hall Masons and Shriners.
The shooting occurred as Barlow was nearing the end of his shift on Monday evening. Police have not yet released any information about suspects or motives in the case.
