In a renewed effort to address the issue of illegal dirt bike activity in Baltimore, police seized 10 dirt bikes and ATVs near Druid Hill Park over the weekend.

According to Commissioner Richard Worley, the city's traffic investigation unit is now responsible for addressing this problem. Since last week, officers have seized 15 dirt bikes and ATVs, with 11 being confiscated on Saturday near Herring Run Park. This brings the total number of seizures so far in 2026 to 27 dirt bikes and 14 ATVs.

In a change from previous approaches, police are now focusing on seizing vehicles rather than pursuing riders while they are operating on city streets. Commissioner Worley stated that chasing these riders is too dangerous for both officers and the public. Instead, authorities are using drones as part of their enforcement efforts.
