A murder charge has been dismissed against one of three defendants in a 2017 shooting case, according to court records. Shamar Lebron Blount's first-degree murder and robbery charges were dropped on June 5 as part of a settlement agreement.

**Background: The Incident**

On November 20, 2017, Clarksville Police responded to a shooting at the 200 block of Mitchell Street in New Providence, where they found 28-year-old Rayquan Hudson with gunshot wounds. He was transported to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville but later died from his injuries.

**Investigation and Charges**

Three men - Shamar Lebron Blount, Darius Devon Woods, and Khavell Solomonmilik Williams - were indicted in 2022 on charges of first-degree murder in perpetration of a crime and robbery. Their joint trial was set for February this year before being rescheduled.

**Dismissal of Charges**

As part of the settlement agreement, Blount entered guilty pleas to two counts of possession of a weapon as a felon and will serve 10 years at the Tennessee Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The District Attorney's Office declined to comment on the matter.

The trial for co-defendants Darius Devon Woods and Khavell Solomonmilik Williams is still scheduled for February 16, 2027, at the Montgomery County Courts Center.
