A Clearfield County man has been jailed on $100,000 bail after allegedly assaulting an emergency medical technician (EMT) while being transported to a hospital.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, 21-year-old Aaron Myers was taken by ambulance to Mount Nittany Medical Center in Centre County on Friday night. During the transport, Myers became aggressive with EMTs and repeatedly pushed one of them who was trying to strap him into a gurney. The incident occurred along Interstate 99 in Patton Township.

Myers is also accused of causing over $5,000 in damage to the ambulance by kicking its interior, breaking a window, damaging doors, radios, and medical equipment. Additionally, police found suspected marijuana paraphernalia on Myers after he was taken into custody.

Myers has been charged with aggravated assault on a first responder, simple assault, criminal mischief, harassment, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Centre County Correctional Facility pending further proceedings.
