COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) — Colorado Springs police have made significant progress in an ongoing investigation into criminal activity associated with an illegal after-hours club operating near East Platte Avenue and South Academy Boulevard. The operation began in April when officers observed a surge in crime around the 300 block of Auburn Drive.

During their investigations, law enforcement discovered multiple stolen vehicles, including a $12,000 dump trailer that had been reported missing since April. On May 28th, detectives assisted local police with an investigation at the business premises and identified one vehicle linked to this theft. Further inquiries led to last Wednesday's execution of search warrants by detectives and special units.

The raids uncovered a stolen firearm, illegal narcotics, and property taken during a burglary from a plumbing company in Cimarron Hills, including a $53,000 truck. These findings confirmed that the business was indeed operating illegally as an after-hours club without proper licensing or regulation.

As part of this operation, police arrested three individuals: 47-year-old James Rosier and 54-year-old Scott Zaviceh for second-degree burglary and motor vehicle theft related to the plumbing company's burglary. Additionally, 44-year-old Toby Chavez was taken into custody on charges of felony theft concerning his involvement in stealing the dump trailer.

The Colorado Springs Police Department continues its investigation into this illegal operation, emphasizing that public safety remains their top priority. They urge anyone with information regarding similar activities or suspicious behavior to contact local authorities immediately.
