CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) — On June 22, 2026, the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney Champ Crocker announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for vandalizing Logan School, an historic site in Cullman County. The vandalism caused significant damage both inside and outside the building.

Photos released by law enforcement depict extensive destruction at the school, including broken windows and interior fixtures damaged beyond repair. Sheriff Matt Gentry emphasized the seriousness with which his office views such acts of vandalism: “We take this level of property damage very seriously,” he stated during a press conference on Monday. Both officials are urging those involved to turn themselves in.

District Attorney Crocker expressed confidence that the reward will prompt individuals with information to come forward, stating, "If they don’t turn themselves in I am confident someone will provide us with valuable tips leading to arrests." He added that he looks forward to prosecuting those responsible once apprehended.

The public is encouraged to contact the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office at 256-734-0342 or submit anonymous tips through their website, CullmanSheriff.org.

This incident highlights ongoing concerns about vandalism and preservation of historic sites within Alabama communities.
