Two individuals are facing charges after deputies seized over 200 fentanyl pills from a car parked outside a convenience store on June 19, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. The incident occurred at Loaf N' Jug on Galley Road and Hathaway Drive in Cimarron Hills.
The sheriff's office responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle with two occupants who appeared impaired. Deputies found the car still running with both individuals passed out inside. Rudy Fuentes, 38, was removed from the vehicle due to an active warrant, while Angela Vigil, 62, remained in custody after fentanyl was discovered on her person.
A search of the vehicle revealed 212 fentanyl pills, $2,300 in cash, and small Ziploc-style baggies. Both Fuentes and Vigil were booked into the El Paso County jail on multiple drug charges. Fuentes faces unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Vigil also faces DUI and unlawful distribution charges.
