David Drury, a 40-year-old former employee of Humberside Police, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for "appalling" child sex offences. Drury pleaded guilty to six counts of distributing indecent photographs of children, two counts of sexual assault on a male, the sexual assault of a child under 13, and voyeurism.

His partner, Daniel Sellers, 44, was also sentenced today for his role in aiding and abetting Drury's offending. Sellers received four-and-a-half years in prison, as well as a restraining order for five years and placement on the sex offenders' register for life.

The investigation into Drury's behaviour began after Humberside Police received a report of concerns about his inappropriate behavior. Further analysis of electronic devices revealed multiple indecent images of children, leading to the discovery that contact sexual offences had also been committed by Drury.

**Background**

Humberside Police launched an investigation in July 2024, following Drury's arrest and interview. The force's Digital Forensics Unit analyzed phone data, which highlighted Sellers' involvement in aiding and abetting Drury's offending over a sustained period of time.

Deputy Chief Constable Sarah Baker praised the bravery of the victim who supported the police prosecution and provided a personal statement. She emphasized that Humberside Police takes all reports of sexual offences seriously and will continue to pursue offenders with determination.
