Lorenzo James Fisher, a former police officer in Kennett, Missouri, pleaded guilty last week to peace disturbance, a Class B misdemeanor. The charge is related to a domestic incident that occurred on June 29, 2026.

According to court documents, Fisher was originally charged with two felony counts and three misdemeanor counts of domestic assault after his arrest. He allegedly accused his wife of harassing his girlfriend and took her vehicle keys, refusing to let her leave. When the victim showed him she had recorded the confrontation, he chased her through the house and slammed her against a door before taking her phone.

Fisher was sentenced to six months suspended execution of sentence in the Dunklin County Jail and two years of unsupervised probation. He was also ordered to pay $119.50 in fines and court costs.

Following his arrest last June, Fisher was fired from the Kennett Police Department by Chief Kenny Wilson.

The original charges against Fisher included allegations that he drew his fist back and said "she wasn't going to mess with his livelihood" while on top of his wife.
