LAS VEGAS — Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officer Jeremiah Jordan, 22, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of domestic violence following allegations from two women spanning nearly a year. The charges were detailed in court documents filed June 16, 2026.
Jordan faces five total counts: one count of assault constituting domestic violence with use of a deadly weapon; three counts of coercion involving threat or use of physical force; and one count of domestic battery, according to Clark County prosecutor Kennedy Holthus. The incidents involved two victims between August 2025 and June 2026.
The first victim reported being physically abused by Jordan in multiple instances, including an incident where she was slapped and another when he choked her while she slept. In one case, the woman said Jordan grabbed a knife but did not stab her, leaving her fearing for her life. She also described episodes of isolation from friends and family.
The second victim alleged coercive behavior starting around August 2025, including being told to quit her job and having restricted access to money and social media. The police department confirmed Jordan's employment since 2023 but did not provide further details about the allegations at the time of his arrest on June 16.
Jordan was placed under suspension without pay pending an investigation by MPD, and a judge set bail at $200,000 during a hearing held on Monday. Public defender Ebeth Palafox requested lower bail or own-recognizance release but was denied. Jordan is currently being housed in the Clark County Detention Center.
The case has raised concerns within the community about accountability and safety standards for law enforcement personnel involved in domestic violence incidents.
