Oliver Cosh, 36, of Wensum Crescent, Bicester, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for sexually abusing two children under the age of 13. The abuse occurred over several years, with one victim being abused when they were eight and another between ages 10 and 11.

Cosh was convicted on six counts of sexual assault by touching a child under 13 and one count of causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity following a week-long trial at Oxford Crown Court. He will also be placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life and subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Thames Valley Police described Cosh as a "predatory offender" who used threats of violence to prevent his victims from speaking out about the abuse. The police commended the courage and resilience shown by the two children throughout the investigation, but noted that Cosh took no responsibility for his actions.

The case was investigated by Det Con James Boden of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit at Thames Valley Police.

Background: This is not the first incident of child sex abuse in Oxfordshire. According to data from local authorities, cases of child sexual exploitation have been on the rise in recent years. However, details about this specific incident and Cosh's background are limited due to ongoing investigations and court proceedings.
