LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Early Sunday morning, June 21, Louisville Metro Police responded to two separate shooting incidents on Bardstown Road that left two men injured and hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds.
The first incident occurred around 2:30 a.m., when officers found a 28-year-old man shot in the leg near The Hub and Atomic businesses. He was taken to UofL Hospital for treatment, where his condition is stable following medical care. A second shooting took place approximately an hour later at about 3:45 a.m., resulting in another victim — this time a 29-year-old male who also sustained injuries from being shot in the leg and was hospitalized.
Both shootings occurred after fights broke out near popular nightlife spots on Bardstown Road, leading to increased police presence throughout the area. LMPD stated that they had arrested 15 individuals during an operation conducted late Saturday night, including four juveniles, and confiscated four firearms as part of their ongoing investigation into these violent incidents.
In response to these events, Louisville Metro Police released a description of a suspect believed to be involved in one or both shootings. The individual is described as approximately 5 feet tall, ranging from 1 inch to 4 inches in height, and could potentially still pose danger due to being armed.
