A 44-year-old man from Cincinnati has been charged with public indecency after allegedly masturbating inside a Barnes & Noble store in Fairfield Township, Ohio. Leon Damar Sims was identified as the suspect by police and is currently under parole supervision through the Ohio Department of Corrections.

According to the Fairfield Township Police Department's news release, the incident occurred on June 12 at the Bridgewater Falls Shopping Center. Store management reported that a man came into the café area and began masturbating while staring at staff and customers. Surveillance video recorded the incident, which reportedly took place near several children who were in the store.

Sims has a history of similar offenses and other criminal convictions, police said. He is also listed in the National Sex Offender Registry from a prior conviction. The release stated that Sims was arrested on June 29 by Hamilton County Parole Officers for allegedly violating parole.

The public indecency charge against Sims is pending in Butler County Area 2 Court. This incident comes as a separate case of public indecency has been reported in another part of the United States, sparking concerns about safety and security measures in retail establishments.
