A man is dead and another is being held at the Stearns County Jail after a stabbing incident in Cold Spring on Saturday evening. According to the Cold Spring/Richmond Police Department and the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement officers responded to a call at 8:30 p.m. and found an adult male suffering from an apparent stab wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene despite lifesaving measures attempted by medical personnel. A male suspect was taken into custody at the residence where the incident occurred and is being held pending formal charges.
The investigation, led by the Cold Spring/Richmond Police Department with assistance from multiple agencies, has determined that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
