A New Hampshire man has pleaded guilty to reckless conduct charges stemming from a high-speed police chase through Concord in September 2024.
Charles Frederick Cutting II, 39, of Rumney, was accused of fleeing an assault warrant and leading state troopers and Concord police on a wild goose chase through downtown Concord. According to court records, Cutting had multiple prior convictions, including reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and evading detention in Texas.
The incident occurred on September 23, 2024, when Cutting was attempting to evade arrest at a hotel on Hall Street in Concord. He allegedly fled the scene in a pickup truck, driving recklessly onto Interstate 93 and then Fort Eddy Road before escaping police near Exit 3.
Cutting's attorney, Aileen O'Connell, reached a plea deal with the Merrimack County Attorney's Office, which was accepted by Judge Dan St. Hilaire on June 28, 2026. The plea agreement includes two felony counts of reckless conduct-deadly weapon and misdemeanor charges of reckless operation and disobeying an officer.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for December 10, 2026.
