Dameon Anderson, 44, was arrested on Sunday by the U.S. Marshals Service of Philadelphia for his alleged role in a murder that occurred at Market Grocery in University City on April 6, 2026.
According to law enforcement, Anderson is wanted for the death of Savion Pollard-Poulson, 26, who was shot and killed following a verbal altercation at the grocery store. Anderson had been publicly identified as a fugitive by police since the incident occurred.
Anderson was arrested near the beach on Kentucky Avenue in Atlantic City after being sought by authorities for over two months. In addition to charges related to Pollard-Poulson's murder, Anderson is also facing a possession of firearm charge stemming from his arrest on Sunday.
The Market Grocery shooting occurred at 4000 block of Market Street and was reported to have followed a verbal altercation between the victim and the suspect.
