AUSTIN, Texas - Police are asking for the public's help identifying three suspects who robbed a Central Austin 7-Eleven and tackled a store clerk on May 31. The robbery occurred at approximately 2:50 a.m. at the 7-Eleven located at 411 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

According to the Austin Police Department, the three suspects entered the store, stole alcohol, and attempted to leave when a clerk tried to intervene. He was "violently tackled" and suffered significant injuries in the process.

The first suspect is described as a white male, medium build, between 18 and 25 years old, wearing a black t-shirt with the word "Gutwrench," a chain necklace, and a wallet chain in his right pants pocket. The second suspect is a Hispanic male, husky build, between 18 and 25 years old, with a tattoo on his right forearm. The third suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, thin build, also between 18 and 25 years old.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information can contact APD's Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092 or submit tips anonymously through Capital Area Crime Stoppers.
