AMBRIDGE, Pa. — On June 23, 2026, a violent robbery occurred at The Only Fire Dispensary in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where three masked men entered the store armed with guns and held an employee and customer hostage for nearly half an hour before fleeing with merchandise.

Employee Nicodemus Sabo described the harrowing experience to local news. "It was truly an interesting experience," he said. According to Sabo, both he and a customer were forced onto the floor while the suspects ransacked the store. The robbers tied up their victims and locked them in a back room for about 20 minutes before leaving with all of the dispensary's products.

Surveillance footage captured an unexpected moment when a pizza delivery driver entered the store, seemingly unaware that a robbery was underway. One suspect can be heard asking Sabo if he had already paid for the pizza. The video also shows the delivery driver questioning why one of the suspects was wearing a mask in warm weather. "It’s 2026," responded the masked individual.

Sabo and the customer were freed about three minutes after the robbers left, when his brother arrived at the scene to untie them and call for help. No physical injuries were reported among those involved, though Sabo expressed gratitude that everyone was unharmed: "That’s the only thing we can do is just thank God."

In response to this incident, The Only Fire Dispensary has increased its security measures significantly. Customers are now required to show identification and pass through a secured entry area with enhanced surveillance before entering the store.

This event highlights the growing concerns over safety in local businesses and underscores the need for improved security protocols in light of recent incidents involving dispensaries across Pennsylvania.
