A 24-year-old man from Rochester, Minnesota has pleaded guilty to soliciting a teenage girl for sex and possessing child pornography. Quinten Alexander Lovelady was charged in January of last year with third-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct, and possession of pornographic work.

According to court records, Lovelady had previously been convicted of a similar crime in Brown County in 2024, for which he received a stayed prison sentence. The current case against him began when law enforcement discovered evidence of his relationship with the teenage girl during an investigation into the earlier incident. The complaint alleges that Lovelady and the victim had sex multiple times starting in November 2021, when she was 15.

Lovelady entered a plea deal on Friday, admitting to one count of soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct and possession of pornographic work. In exchange for his guilty plea, all other charges were dismissed. The prosecution and defense agreed on a 34-month prison term, which Lovelady is scheduled to be sentenced for in September.
