The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has made an arrest in connection with a drug trafficking investigation. On June 26, around 6 p.m., Operational Patrol Services officers arrested an 18-year-old man at Father Walsh's Park on suspicion of breaching a release order and drug-related offences.

According to the RNC, during a search of the accused person, officers located approximately six grams of crack cocaine, three grams of cocaine (the source does not specify if this is in addition to or part of the "approximately 6 grams" mentioned), and $5,200 cash. The accused was charged with breaching a release order and further charges are pending while the results of drug testing are awaited.
