On June 24, Safford Police arrested Jeremy Thomas Blok, 50, after he allegedly threatened a group of juvenile farm workers with an axe in the vicinity of W. Reclamation Way and N. 8th Avenue.
According to police dispatch records, the incident occurred at approximately 8:17 a.m., when a homeless male emerged from a tent under the 8th Avenue Bridge and approached the juveniles while armed with an axe. The property owner reported that six juveniles were chopping cotton in the area when they were confronted by Blok.
Blok was arrested and booked into the Graham County Adult Detention Facility on charges of disorderly conduct with a deadly weapon and misconduct involving weapons as a prohibited possessor. Authorities noted that he has prior infractions that bar him from possessing deadly weapons.
Court records show that Blok was already on probation following an August 26, 2025 sentencing for attempted unlawful means of transportation, DUI, aggravated DUI, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A petition to revoke his probation was filed on June 25 in connection with the new allegations.
Blok made his initial appearance on the fresh charges on Thursday, June 25, when bond was set at $25,000.
