On Sunday, June 21, a violent incident occurred in Sherborn, Massachusetts, resulting in the stabbing of Norman Miller, a local resident. The suspect is his son, Gavin Blalock, aged 19. According to police reports, emergency services were called at approximately 1:15 p.m. after receiving an urgent call about the stabbing on Prospect Street.

Upon arrival, Sherborn Police found Miller suffering from multiple stab wounds and immediately transported him via medical rescue helicopter to a Boston hospital for critical care. As of Monday, June 22, Lieutenant Luke Tedstone reported that Miller's condition was stable though still serious following his admission at the hospital.

Gavin Blalock appeared in Natick District Court on Monday without representation from an appointed lawyer and pleaded not guilty through court procedures. Judge Sharon Lalli ruled to hold him pending a hearing scheduled for Wednesday to determine if he poses a danger to public safety, which could lead to further restrictions or continued detention without bail.

Blalock faces multiple charges including assault with intent to murder, two counts of assault and battery involving dangerous weapons causing serious bodily injury, and simple assault. If the court finds him to be a threat to society during Wednesday’s hearing, he may remain in custody for up to 120 days pending further legal proceedings.

The Sherborn Police Department has yet to provide additional details regarding any potential motives behind this violent act or circumstances leading up to it. Further updates will follow as more information becomes available from the court and law enforcement agencies involved.
