On June 28, deputies from the Stone County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting on Piney Road around 8 p.m., where they found a man with a single gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was flown to a Little Rock hospital for treatment.

Following an investigation, two individuals were arrested: Christina Folden, 51, of Shirley, and Johnathan Pipkin, 31, also of Shirley. Folden faces charges of first-degree domestic battery, unlawful use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.

Pipkin was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, first-degree terroristic threatening, tampering with physical evidence, and unlawful use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed as more information becomes available.

The Stone County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at Folden's home during their investigation, interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence related to the shooting.

Both Folden and Pipkin are being held in the Stone County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing. The victim's identity has not been released due to lack of information from authorities.
