In North Bay, two individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with a Street Crime Unit drug trafficking investigation. Megan Austin, 28, of North Bay, and Keiandra Jolly, 26, from Milton, were taken into custody on June 18 after officers executed a search warrant at a residence on McNamara Street.

The search resulted in the seizure of quantities of fentanyl, crack cocaine, and crystal methamphetamine believed to be possessed for trafficking purposes. Both individuals are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking these substances. Jolly is also facing an additional charge of "Possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000."

This incident marks a significant development in the ongoing Street Crime Unit investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity within the community.

According to police reports, this spring's investigation led to the arrest of one person on Ferguson Street earlier this month. The search warrant at McNamara Street was executed as part of the same probe.

The seized substances and evidence are currently being analyzed by authorities. Both suspects were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
