On Sunday, police arrested two individuals from New York who attempted to use fraudulent credit cards at a Costco store in South Windsor, Connecticut. Brittany Howard, 35, of Bronx, NY, and Kasheem Williams, 34, of Brooklyn, NY, were taken into custody after employees reported them trying to pay with fake credit cards at the self-checkout.

According to police, the suspects had also attempted to use fraudulent credit cards at a Costco store in Enfield earlier that day. Officers found 28 credit cards with different names on them in their vehicle, as well as items believed to have been stolen from the Enfield location.

Both Howard and Williams were charged by South Windsor police with second-degree larceny, 28 counts of payment card theft, third-degree ID theft, and conspiracy to commit third-degree ID theft. They are being held on $250,000 surety bonds and are scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Monday morning.

Howard also has an extraditable warrant out of Hudson County, NJ for credit card theft, while Williams has an extraditable warrant out of Suffolk County, NY for multiple charges including burglary, strangulation, and assault.
