A 47-year-old man from Valencia, California has been arrested by federal agents in connection with a previous conviction for drug trafficking.

Jon Hagstrom was taken into custody on Thursday outside his home in the gated community of Tiburon Street in Valencia. According to online federal records, he remains in custody as of this publication.

Hagstrom's history with law enforcement dates back to 2014, when he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine and marijuana, money laundering, and drug possession. He was sentenced to 10 and a half years in prison by a federal judge in New Hampshire.

The original conviction stemmed from an investigation into a Canadian-based criminal organization that imported over 1,000 kilograms of high-grade marijuana into the United States between 2007 and 2009. Hagstrom's role in the conspiracy involved providing cocaine to the organization, which was then exported to Canada.

Details of the current arrest warrant are unavailable at this time.
