Dakota T. Spells, 25, was booked into the Poinsett County Detention Center at 2:57 p.m. on Aug. 3, 2026, according to the Poinsett County Sheriff's Office inmate roster. The roster lists the booking under number 52672 and records a single charge, written as “SEXUAL ASSAULT-2ND DEGREE.”

Arkansas codifies sexual assault in the second degree at Arkansas Code § 5-14-125, which defines the offense in terms of sexual contact under several enumerated circumstances. The code classifies it as a Class B felony. The same section provides a reduced Class D classification that applies only when the person charged is a minor, a provision the roster's stated age of 25 places outside this booking. Under Arkansas Code § 5-4-401, a Class B felony carries a sentence of not less than five years and not more than 20 years upon conviction.
