Production note: Registry Recognizer used automated tools to organize public-record data. The Registry Recognizer Editorial Desk manually verified the Davis County booking detail, identity match, booking time, agency, charge entry, bond status, Utah court case number, court-calendar counts, hearing information, statutory citation, and source links, then reviewed and rewrote this report. The accompanying image is an editorial illustration and does not depict Kenneth Eugene Yocum or any reported event.
Kenneth Yocum, 43, was booked into the Davis County Jail at 6:32 a.m. on July 18, according to the sheriff’s official inmate detail. The record identifies the Layton Police Department as the arresting agency and lists one jail charge described as sexual abuse of a child under Utah Code 76-5-404.1. Its bond table says “No Bail.” A jail booking records an allegation, not a finding of guilt.
The calendar lists four counts described as forcible sexual abuse. Each entry is labeled a second-degree felony and dated July 18. The calendar also associates the case with Layton law-enforcement reference L26-18807 and prosecuting-agency reference C06 #26-7582.
An initial appearance is scheduled for 1:29 p.m. July 27 before a rotation judge in the Second Judicial District’s Farmington court. The calendar describes the proceeding as virtual. Court schedules can change.
The jail’s cited statute, Section 76-5-404.1, is titled “Sexual abuse of a child” in the current Utah Code. The statute defines a child for that section as someone younger than 14 and classifies a violation of subsection (2) as a second-degree felony.
The charges are allegations. Yocum is presumed innocent unless and until guilt is established in court.
