Animal Cruelty reported near Anchor Point

On 10/23/2026, at approximately 0852 hours, AST in Anchor Point received a report of a disturbance after-the-fact that occurred at a residence near Sluice Ave. in Anchor Point. It was reported that 52-year-old Marvin Rollins had killed two dogs. Troopers arrived on scene and were notified that the dogs were buried. Troopers exhumed the remains and discovered that both dogs had suffered stab wounds to the head and neck area. Marvin was arrested and transported to Homer Jail where he was remanded to their custody without incident.
