EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) is actively investigating two separate shootings and has made arrests in two crashes involving pedestrians that took place in the overnight hours between Saturday, Oct. 31 and Sunday, Nov. 1. Our relationship with the university is strong and we will continue to work together.” “On one of our busiest nights, ELPD officers provided life-saving aid to gunshot victims, secured multiple crime scenes and removed impaired drivers from our streets. In addition to the officers scheduled, multiple officers, department administrators and detectives responded to the need for additional assistance regarding these critical incidents,” said Police Chief Brown. “I am extremely proud of their courage and dedication. I also want to thank our mutual aid partners from the MSU Department of Police and Public Safety, Michigan State Police, Meridian Township Police Department, Lansing Police Department and Ingham County Sheriff’s Office.
